Privacy notice
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This notice explains what personal information Ampere Technologies Ltd collects through this website and by email, why we collect it, and your rights under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
In short: we only collect what you send us when you get in touch. We use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to run the project. We don't sell it, we don't use it for marketing, and this website doesn't use cookies or tracking.
Who we are
Ampere Technologies Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16794302.
For any question about your data, email us at shahid.ahmed@amperetechnologies.co.uk.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, company, email address, the service you're interested in and your message.
- Emails and calls: anything you send us directly, such as your contact details and information about your project.
- Technical data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records basic information such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure.
Please don't send confidential design files or sensitive details through the contact form. Once an NDA is in place, we'll give you a secure way to share them.
How we use it and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or is in our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us.
- To deliver and manage a project if you become a client. This is necessary to perform our contract with you or your organisation.
- To keep business and tax records. This is necessary to meet our legal obligations.
- To keep the website secure and working. This is in our legitimate interests.
We don't use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we won't add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the business and who must protect it:
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website and processes contact form submissions.
- Our email provider, which stores the emails we send and receive.
- Google, which supplies the fonts used on this site. Your browser requests them from Google's servers, which shares your IP address with Google.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountant, where needed for our legal obligations.
International transfers
Some of these providers, including Netlify and Google, are based in the United States, so your information may be processed outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the providers' data processing agreements and approved contractual terms, to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client and project records: 6 years after the project ends, to meet tax and legal requirements.
- Contact form copies held by our hosting provider: deleted periodically once the enquiry has reached our inbox.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that's wrong
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation
To use any of these rights, email us at the address above. We'll respond within one month. There's no charge in most cases.
Cookies
This website doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics or advertising trackers.
